I had set the alarm to be up at 9am to get ready go on a Manoir field trip to the River Cree Casino at 10am, for which I had paid my $5 because they were short of participants. But, I didn't feel like going because it is a long 4.5 hours when a person does not gamble. A person gets a really nice free meal, but that was not enough to rouse me from my slumber... I got up at 11am.
Then I whiled away the afternoon after chores and left early to an Edmonton Elks showing of their new football jerseys at the Midway Music Hall on the southside, a venue that I wanted to investigate.
I made a swing further south to the site of my brother Lucien's gravesite, with his lovely wife Kaye at his side. I try to make it a point to stop by for a few minutes whenever I am in the vicinity. On the way, I passed an exotic car mechanic's place with Lamborghinis, Porsches, Audis, and even a stunning McLaren sitting outside.... Wow! There was well over a million dollars of automobiles in their driveway!
Then I went to the music hall, and waited for the doors to open at 6pm. Festivities began at 6:30pm with the Elks Cheer Team, the new coach Mark Kilam, and several players including Quarterback Tre Ford and his brother, defensive back Tyrell.
To be honest, I was more interested in the Ronin rig that another photographer was using to do videos..... I was back home at 7:30pm.
