Yesterday, it rained heavily in the morning, which was welcomed by everyone. We needed that to give us a little relief from the forest fires.
I fought with myself all morning about whether to go and play Pickleball again or not. In the end, I decided not to participate any longer because the continuous bending involved is just too much, and I was still ailing a little from Tuesday... At this age, it is not a good idea to make the body suffer.
So I whiled away the day, ate my salad for supper and took my books back to the Library, without picking up any more for now, because I have around 15 books at home begging to be read...
I continued on the Gio, dressed lightly in my Elks gear, to Commonwealth Stadium to watch the Elks tackle the powerful Montreal Alouettes. It was no contest, especially when stupid coaches request passes for 0-5 yards instead of the 10 required to move the sticks.... Grrrr
On a warm day, the breeze that swirls in the stadium is very welcome where we sit, but it was cool, and my friends Brenda and Lorraine didn't show up. I decided to leave at 1/2 time and watch the rest of the game at home. Edmonton played a better second half, trying again to salvage respectability with last quarter heroics, but falling way short...
Today is a day of rest, with zero plans, as it is cool and threatening rain, again.....
