Monday June 16, 202

Well, the rain did finally arrive Friday night and Saturday and this morning, giving us relief from the forest fires and the resulting smoky air.

My wife sent me something indicating that visits to Canada without visas from certain Latin American countries, including Colombia, was a new development.  But I checked that it was untrue, and it is still a nightmare of documents and visits to consulates or embassies.  I often wonder how we get any tourists at all....  Plus Canada still has a $100 entry tax on Colombians, to which I am forced to pay a retaliatory tax when I go to visit Colombia....  Grrrrrrrr

Saturday evening, I took the Regal to visit Bob and watch the Oiler game (another pathetic effort, Grrrr) and picked up pizza from Boston Pizza (a Meateor pizza like Mom always ordered).

Bob has a new friend in his building, also named Al, who does not have his TV hooked up yet, so Bob invites him for the games.  He and Bob both smoke, etc, so they are a good fit so far.

Sunday, I watched a myriad of sports and discovered another source of movie channels so I ended up watching another favourite, Bridge On The River Kwai, while finishing a James Patterson novel, "Blow Back".

Today, I called Bob and picked him up and we went to Kingsway Mall.  We both started at WalMart where I could not find a sweatband that I wanted but did come away with a Pickleball raquet for me and a small pink aluminum bat for protection for cousin Jeanne.

Then I re-positioned and went to Sport-Chek to find the overpriced sweatband.

Most of the photos below are over the last few days out my apartment window with the P1100,... still getting the hang of it....

I have gone back to Temu to order a few items, including a gimbal ball-head for my tripod to work the P1100 easier.  I hope it does the trick....

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Al
