Saturday, I stayed home, read my Jack Reacher novel while watching sports,... baseball, tennis, soccer, and 2 full football games.... My Calgary Stampeders won and my Edmonton Elks lost.
Sunday, Bob and I made our way to Blues on Whyte to enjoy a little music. When they took over an hour to set up for additional musicians, we got bored and left and had a quick supper at McDonald's.
Bob's left front wheel was wobbling unnaturally so I suspected the wheel nut was not tightened properly. Monday we checked and his bearing fell out completely. He will now have to get it fixed under the warranty....
Sunday was also my cousin Jeanne's 80th Birthday. We connected today for lunch at Tim Horton's (her choice, .. she is a cheap date) in Sherwood Park. Then she showed me a second-hand store and I actually found an Edmonton Eskimos (yes, Eskimos) ball cap in good shape for $7.35... I am now completely outfitted to go to the next game on the 19th...
We drove back to Jeanne's and got her squared away to join me at the French Club 50+ picnic on Thursday. And then we took her old dog Suki for a nice walk and checked out her little garden spot next to the hockey rink. I watered the patch while she weeded a little and I took home some green stuff and radished for tonight's salad.. and it is actually very tasty!
In a few minutes our Oilers try to beat the Florida Panthers after screwing up their game hopelessly Friday... Go Oilers Go.....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
