Sunday October 4, 2020

It was raining at 5am so the dogs didn't get their walk.  They didn't seem to mind as we just all went back to bed.  The rain quit around 10 and re-started arounfd noon for another hour.  I went out to get Killer out of the rain and that was the second time this week that I regretted leaning over to pick up that heavy lump.  I felt a twinge so now I have to be extra careful with my back for a while.

A butterfly decided to enter the house around noo, settled above the kitchen cupboards and hasn't moved since.  The Golden Silk Spider was getting a little too expansive with her web so we whacked off the lower portion.  She was not happy.  We would not be happy walking into that heavy silk though.. yeeeuuuwww....

We decided to go for a late lunch at La Herradura and I didn't bother taking the big Nikon, so all today's pictures are with the Lumix.  There were huge lineups at the Chinese food and chicken joint places but no line at the meat places so we grabbed a 1/2 pound burger, fries and drink for me,.. and a fancy bean lunch and drink for her for $10.26 USD total.  For us, that is splurging a little.

People were respecting the social distancing well and the table cleaners were very thorough.

When we came back I opened the automatic garage door and was waiting to back in when Cristina showed me something that was on the floor.  One of the 4 upper rollers on the door had come loose and fallen.  I kept hunting for a missing nut but, on inspection of the others, there is no nut...  It is probably welded on, so I am uncertain how I am going to get this fixed.  The door works fine without it but I don't want to overstress the others as well and have a major problem.  There are no yellow pages here nor monster hardware stores nor easy ways of finding such contractors.  We have some ideas of where to start asking at least..

Little Bebe is close to being adopted out and I am dreading that day.  While she chews on everything in sight, like all puppies, she does little damage with her teeth yet so I have been exceedingly tolerant and secretly enjoying her forays from one thing to the next, and trying to engage any of the others to play.  She has given us something to smile about in these dark days.  I sure am going to miss my "little shit".

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
