We were on the road at 6am, with Tia Nativa in tow, to head in to the Government agency that supplies things like diapers, cream and wipes to the needy. There was almost no lineup, we were there 45 minutes early, and we still had to wait another 1.5 hours to return empty-handed. I guess they need a new doctor's prescription to keep going, so I am certain we will be going back once or twice more.
Cristina then finalized paperwork to get her lost Identity card, the Cedula, replaced. Another 5 weeks to wait.
By the time we got home I was wiped and hit the hay again. So I didn't get to do my chores until after 11am. I was hungry so I ate some crackers and peanut butter, not knowing that we were again awaiting lunch from Lorena. Cristina's meal looked good but I saved mine for supper, negating my salad for a day.
Then I had severe Internet problems making me re-do my photo uploads 3 times. They are very time-consuming so I was not a happy camper. I restarted many times and finally unplugged, and re-plugged, everything. I did a speedtest and it was poor. I fired off another messae on Messenger to the blasted Movistar that I have been awaiting a service call since September 6th!!! The word "servicio" is a joke in Latin America.
So I had the beef meal for supper and, again, this is acceptable for cheap lunches in Latin America. The beef is the worst cut possible, barely suitable for stew, and yet they expect a person to try to chew their way through it... Sorry, but I wanted to be done before Christmas! I chewed off the spices and tomato salsa and fed it all to the dogs. They don't chew anyway...
Every night, before I get engrossed in my Netflix, I check the regular cable to see if there is a worthy movie, good sports or UFC to watch. Many of the movies are rotated ad nauseum like they have no choices or imagination. Last night, I happened to catch most of "The Hunt For Red October" which is the favourite of my friend Dawn. Later, I watched more of "Better Call Saul".
As we near the time of the American Presidential election, we interested International observers are hopeful that the American voters will vote out all the dead rot in their paralyzed government. A new broom doesn't always sweep cleaner, but anything has to be better than the current crew. And we can only hope that some sanity returns in Canada as well. Inexperienced spendthrift playboys are never a good choice to run a country, even if the dummy is supposedly my cousin..... (stepping off the soapbox again).
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
