After chores I continued with my upload of 4 more Elvis artworks that people can use for gifts to the Elvis fans.  When a person can order everything from t-shirts, to mugs, to clocks, to bedding, to shower curtains, to socks, to masks, and a whole lot more, it is not hard to find the right gift for that special person.  And you can comparison-shop between RedBubble and Fine Art America via the links above.  I have a few more uploads coming over the next couple of days as well.

Then we made a trip into Tulua with our first stop intended to pick up the (hopefully) completed house ownership documents.  However, when we saw the lack of any line-up, it dawned on us that this is a holiday here as well, just not Thanksgiving.

So we continued on to Olympica to get high-iron-content meat for dog meals.   We got 6.9 kilograms for 14,832 Pesos or $3.87 USD!  That is why we make the trip every couple of weeks.  Birdseed (ground corn) 10,475 Kgs cost us 19,122 pesos or $5.00 USD.  I am certain we would never get such prices in Canada or the USA.

We made a quick stop at Bizcochito for a cheap lunch ($1.88 USD for both) with coffee and then gassed up Lizzie on the way back into town.

Another expat reminded us that the exchange rate is currently favourable so I made the move to transfer almost everything I have at this time.  Thankfully CIBC has a Global Money Transfer system that works slick with a specially allowed encrypted email through Protonmail.com because they have no easy way to send time-sensitive confirmation texts to me here by phone.  It is cheap, fast and trouble-free.

After working on today's photos I watched the CTV special on the 50-year anniversary of the October Crisis and the FLQ.  Our distant cousins Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, Quebec Premier Robert Bourassa, and Cabinet Minister Jean Chretien all had critical roles in bringing this to an end.   The link to the series is on my Facebook page.  It was sad that Canada had to resort to the War Measures Act to close down especially Montreal to smoke out the FLQ terrorists who really lost their popular support when they kidnapped and murdered a Canadian Cabinet Minister Pierre LaPorte.  The terrorists were finally surrounded and negotiated the release of kidnapped British diplomat James Cross in exchange for a flight to Cuba, but they were later caught and tried and jailed.  It was a dark and terrible time in our country that even my children did not know until now.

We finally got around to giving all the dogs their required dose of anti-parasite pills.  Jamming half a big pill down their throat is really not a big deal and those pills really work.

We have been allowing too many (8) dogs in the bedroom at night and at least 5 like to join us on the bed.  Even though it is a king-size bed, there is not enough room for that many sprawling bodies to get a good night's sleep.  So, Grigi and Rocas will probably again be banished at night to the hallway with Zorra like before.  Killer sleeps on the patio.

I am really happy to see that the neighbour has extended his second-storey wall for his new structure to hide the stairway, and also that there are no windows to our yard.  So the neighbor's dog should no longer be able to torment our dogs from above the main wall anymore.  Good!

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
