I don't know why I dread garbage/poop day, but I do.  Then I notice all the things that need to be done in the back yard, not fun things.  The darn lawn almost needs to be cut again already.

Then Cristina and I went on a rodent patrol, placing poison in strategic areas unable to be reached by our animals.  Living so close to the country we do get unwanted visitors.  And, with the recent rainy season again the bug population has become a bit of a nuisance, especially around Killer, and he can't avoid them, poor guy.

Cristina and I then tried a new restaurant around the corner that she found.  very small, 2 tables, so I was glad that we found seats.  We got a large, delicious pork cutlet dinner, with beans, salad, rice, french fries and a juice for $1.75 USD each.  We definitely welcome another such restaurant so close..

Our flowers are running their course, and it is time to cut them back (one of the things I spotted today).  The roses are almost done and the hibiscus plants need a revival.   We should have about 3 gourd fruits soon.  The oranges are falling and we already have a small pail ready to juice later.

While taking photos of the flowers with the Nikon, Tom Thumb cruised by my head with a sound that said "Don't forget about me..!!"  So I stayed close and used the small lens so the photos of Tom are OK, but cropped for your enjoyment.

I need a walk with Turi...

Holy Hannah, only 2 days to Hallowe'en!

I had a couple of photos in the Lumix from Sunday while voting.  They are below.  One of Cristina's many relatives stopped by our lunch table to say hello.

Yesterday I did up the 3 previous Blogs, as you know.  Then I had to get caught up on my uploads, contests, replies etc. on RedBubble and Fine Art America.   By the time I was done my eyes were falling out of my head.  I closed them for 15 minutes and then got back to work.

Cristina had assembled two pails of oranges so I asked if she would do the washing and I would do the slicing and juicing.  She was amenable to that so we made almost 6 liters of Orange juice.

I went on a walk with 4 dogs (the same as the morning bunch, because they all wanted to go) and Aram and must combat my recent laziness.  And I must get on the bicycle .......

I found the second instalment of Catherine the Great on HBO and can't wait to see the rest.  How many???  Maybe they are easily found online somewhere?

This morning we went grocery shopping at LA14 and brought Aram with us because he needed to make an exchange of newly purchased shoes for his daughter Yireh.  Somehow they came home with a (latin) size 36 left and 38 right...  We bought a ton of stuff for about $100, including lovely pork loin for about $2 USD a pound...  I can't wait to BBQ those puppies...

I also bought way too many snacks, my downfall in the evening.  I justify that by not eating breakfast, a light lunch, and my salad for supper.  Today Cristina and I shared a $1.75 sandwich from the LA14 Deli.

I had uploaded a photo this morning of the beach at Salinas and commented about needing beach time.  Then I got an email from Vacations To Go about cruise deals.  That got me trying to search for a nice cruise like the beauty I found for last April, but without success.  So I wrote them to see if they had something similar anytime from January to May in the Mediterranean.  I am still waiting for a proper answer.  I will be going alone, if I ever decide to go, and will be looking for a photography partner to share the cabin....

I got all excited when I saw Catherine the Great listed at 7pm on HBO, but it says it is a repeat of Episode 2.  Maybe they are only showing these weekly?

Since I already had a couple of shots in the Lumix I thought that I would try to catch Tom Thumb after I finished replenishing the feeders.  The results are not too bad...
