It was my intention to go to two events tonight, 1. the opening of that walkway west of here (photos last Blog), and 2. meet friends to see a Colombian singer at Parque De La Madre.
But, I guess I let my hopes run away with me about the lady from the IESS hospital to come with her son today to see the house. I was all prepared and they didn't show, or even bother to call.
It underlines one of my biggest problems with the people of this country, ..the insensitivity and constant "me first" attitude of Ecuadorians. They simply have zero concept of caring for other people's feelings, or time, ... just theirs and their immediate family. Nobody else matters.
Anyway, I am overly depressed, and in ill humor, and a nap didn't help, so I am best just to stay home and dive into a new book. It is Friday the 13th anyway. Best to stay alone.
No excitement today.
