After a rough night, I had another nap right after doing chores. Then we took a bus with my new bus pass to El Centro (Downtown). We found pretty well all the items that Dawn wanted to bring back for gifts.
Again, I ran into an acquaintance at the door of a shoe store, Elizabeth, who is an Ecuadorian who once lived with an obnoxious Gringo.
We came back and got ready to go to Joes' Secret Garden for a fish'n'chips meal. We were joined by friends Mike and Lotis Sullivan from Ucubamba (suburb) and Rick and Pat Jackson. I have known both these couples almost since our arrival in 2011 so it was so nice to get back in contact.
Mike and Lotis have a dog named Bella and a beautiful home. They look good, but sadly Mike is moving very slow with leg issues.
Rick and Pat just got back from a trip to the USA, primarily around Utah, so I was fortunate to catch them. Rick always has projects underway to keep busy, usually cooking or woodwork.
I felt sorry for Ken and KP because the crowd was barely 2 dozen people, but they continue to provide the service to the expat community.
I did not take crowd pics because that is no longer my job and Janet does such good work.
We returned early and I was in bed at 8pm and slept until 8am.....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
