Saturday November 19, 2016
This was a very busy day, awake at 4am and on the go all day long.
I am uploading Christmas cards for sale these last few days and that takes a lot of time.
I went to Multimotos this morning because they promised that my new bike would be there by 11am.  I got there about 10:15 because I wanted to finish the payment and discuss the changes I want made.  The bike did not show up until 11:30 and I had to leave by 11:40, but it looked in good shape.  They knocked a whopping $20 off the bill because of the many days I impatiently waited and gave me some riding gloves.  I also get back the IVA tax so the price tag ends up being pretty reasonable.
I went to meet some nice new folks who had arrived this morning from Rochester, NY who had been in contact with me because of my CuencaResidency.Blogspot.com Blog.  I had agreed to give them a quick overview of Cuenca today and tomorrow.  They are staying at the San Juan Hotel on General Torres and I was really impressed with the place.  It has lots of beautiful woodwork and artwork.   We did a little walking tour of El Centro because most places will be closed tomorrow.
Then it was off to Joes' Secret Garden for their popular Barbeque ribs and homemade sausages, preceded by the infamous onion rings, then topped off with banana pudding.  Ken and KP continue to do a good job on the food so I hope the clientele will continue to support them.  They have a full house booked for next Thursday's Thanksgiving dinner.
My friend Patty suggested the name Bumblebee for my new bike and it didn't quite sound robust enough for me, but tonight the name Buzzer popped into my head because of that, so I thank you Patty for the inspiration.  Buzzer certainly sounds better than my original idea of Banana...., and I can probably find bumblebee decals to go with the Buzzer name.
I hope you enjoy the photos.  That was the day's excitement.   Cheers, Al
