Tuesday notes -
Vitamins are REAL expensive here. I just paid $15.89 for 30 multivitamin tablets. Ouch!
Lawyers miss appointments here too and don’t think anything of
it. Our lawsuit against the Government
over Coopera will be launched soon. I
have all the papers and deposit money ready for the lawyer when he decides to
be in his office…
Wednesday –
The lawyer showed up for the morning appointment, late, but at
least I finally got to file my papers and money with him. He says that next week sometime we will sign
the documents.
Then I headed downtown, hoping that the Black Olive Bistro would
be open, but no such luck, so I wandered around El Centro taking photos. With the gorgeous morning blue sky we had a
lovely backdrop.
There are many Christmas things beginning to happen around town,
little parades, sales, music, etc.
I then went back much later and the Black Olive was open so I had
a crepe with ham, cheese and tomato which was unfortunately very ordinary. Crepes are much better with sweets, like
brown sugar or jam, or strawberries and whipped cream….. I was there on a mission though to find out
if they make tourtieres, French-Canadian meat pies. I spoke to the owner, Melissa, from Montreal, and they are
actually going to make one for the lunch special tomorrow. Then she will have a better idea of the cost
for ingredients and what she should charge me.
So, I will be there for lunch tomorrow to test the quality and find out
the price….
Hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
