Today was a big milestone for our friend Mark, his big 7-0. A few friends gathered for special hotdogs and a few pops.
As they were bringing out the birthday donut cake, all the power went out and everybody thought someone had thrown off the lights on purpose because Karen was lighting a huge sparkler on the top of it. But no, it was a real power outage that lasted about an hour. It was also very unusually chilly outside so the party quickly moved indoors and our LED flashlights and candles saved the day.
Karen presented Mark with a specially framed map of the world where you have to scratch (& sniff?) off every country you have visited to reveal a different colour beneath. Very interesting.
Hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
