Merry Christmas everyone.
Tonight was the Christmas Eve celebration at Joe's with the Feast Of The Seven Fishes. We had another congenial crowd on hand and we were soothed with the viola of Janet Kavanagh out in the garden.
The meal was long and delightful. It turns out that the fish dish that I enjoyed the most was the calamari which Joseph deep-fries in a spicy batter and keeps the squid so tender.
After the meal, Janet, accompanied by Joe on the piano, gave us a real treat with a fabulous rendition of O Holy Night, my favourite Christmas carol, and it literally brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful way to end a delightful evening.
