A gorgeous day, always starting with my morning walk shortly after 5am with the 5 dogs.  As long as there are no loose, curious dogs around, the walk is very pleasant as our dogs enjoy the exercise and the outing.
I quickly did my chores, feed the dogs, pigeons, hummingbirds, emails, facebook, check the calendar, upload 2 more artworks for sale,... then I had to kickstart Buzzer who had been sitting too long.  I ran to get more hard corn at the mercado for the pigeons then to Coral for more dog food and a head of cabbage for my salads.  That was all accomplished before 11am so I was really due for a nap.
About 4pm the heavens opened so I was trapped away from home and had to wait it out.  Close to 5pm the rain stopped and I made my weekly trek to Joes' Secret Garden where they were offering a new Spanish dish called Paella, a potpourri of many ingredients with rice.  There was a small crowd on hand but they all seemed to enjoy it.  The Christmas decorations are up and it is all very festive.  If you want to join in on the Christmas dinner, you had better get your reservations in early.  New Year's is almost sold out already.
Condolences over the loss of Christian were many and it seemed like I was ready to cry most of the night.  Thankfully I didn't.  I had taken a chance on going to Joes' and hoping that I could cope with this.  Because there was a small crowd, it was a good break-in to get back into routine and to re-learn how to cope with all the declarations of sympathy.
When I got home, I had a set-to with the new dog Nina, and sometimes the dogs need to be reminded who is the boss.  Nina then was so calm that I took a chance and she slept in our bedroom with the other 3 females and was quiet all night.  We have turned a corner with this lovely dog and she will be much better from now on (he said with great hope in his eyes)..
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
