As I said in the previous post, I was not a happy camper to have to drive my car through that slick of tar and oil but I really had no choice.
Today was the memorial for John Stivers who passed away quietly in his sleep on Easter Sunday. A nice crowd attended the event at Joe's Secret Garden and I delivered the requested enlargement of the photo I took of John and Pam at Thanksgiving, which was also their 48th Anniversary.
Some family members came from the northern US and a business partner came all the way from Holland to attend. There were many wonderful reminiscences shared and Cindy Benson sang a lovely song, accompanied by Joe. It was a wonderful celebration of life for a very nice man.
The traffic was so bad that I did not return home as intended, so I did some shopping at SuperMaxi and visited with Ed for an hour before going to Mark & Karen's for a BBQ. The occasion was to introduce and welcome some guests from New Hampshire to some of the usual suspects. Good food and good company is a hard combination to beat...
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
