Tonight was the Oldies But Goodies dance and it was almost a carbon copy of the initial dance in many respects, except that this crowd came readier to party and have fun. The action got going much quicker because we had better and louder sound through the Villa San Carlos sound system, plus we reduced the lighting very early on.
We had about the same number of people register, about 80, and about the same number actually show up, about 65. But, like I said, this crowd warmed up very quickly and the party got rocking much earlier.
You can't please everybody but we had a lot less negativity this time around. Learning from the experience of the last dance, where almost nobody got up for waltzes or country music, I restricted the music to 80% Rock n Roll and 20% Latin, with about 5 line dances thrown in.
I didn't take any pictures at the last dance and only dug out my camera for a minute of quick shots at this one.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al Line dances like the Macarena are always popular |
