We sure did not get much sleep last night due to excessive fireworks from 11:45 pm to about 2am... 9 of the 15 dogs cowered in our bedroom as the onslaught continued, but we all survived.
Prior to that, very noisy, short parades of vehicles and motorcycles celebrated in the fashion reminiscent of "Carnaval" in Ecuador where it is deemed fun to cover people in grease, flour and spray foam. I am glad that none took a shot at me.
I am still having problems with Jacquie Lawson cards. I paid and now they tell me it is not available here..!! I have always been able to access it from Colombia... And they say "to try again later" after the important holiday card season is over... I am not a happy camper.
I slept in while I could and later had a nap after extended chores. I decided to open a new group "Amazing Colombia" on Pixels/FAA, but I fear it will be short-lived as there are few Pixels photographers here that I can find.
Since it was again just threatening rain, we stayed inside and comfortable.
My good wife went to great pains to make a large pizza for me and there is a Birthday cake for later.
So, as they say, 76 trips around the sun are completed for me and I am thankful for my family and my good health.
