Friday we received a Temu package of stuff ordered for Cristina, mostly doggy or cat print clothes. I hate to wonder what they would do if we are not home...
So I spent Friday and Saturday watching sports, sports, and more sports. Oilers play well one game and win, then play poorly and lose in overtime. My Team Homan had a good day Saturday in curling after prior bad days and actually got straight to the semi-finals, only to lose on the last rock to my old fave team Einarson. While I don't really like Team Jacobs on the men's side, they are from Alberta and are heading to the Olympics with Homan to represent Canada. Unfortunately Jacobs got knocked out easily and Homan has struggled against opposition she normally beats handily... It does no bode well for Canada.
Tom Thumb has been teasing me mercilessly, only showing up after I give up waiting and start to focus elsewhere, then he is gone before I can re-focus on him... so I have only 3 bad shots to show for my 120 minutes of waiting. I have time to spare to practice more and wait for tom to perform.
So it has not been a good weekend for my sports teams.
Today, Cristina had her ex, Carlos, over to measure for the wire mesh needed to complete the "cages" she is building outside. I suggested getting the mesh already cut in the portions needed, and marked on a map alphabetically (I thought this made sense to save on needless cutting labour) but was overruled. It will come in one massive roll. I just walked away... They have weird ways of construction here that boggle the mind, but somehow end up working because labour is cheap.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
