I was so happy to be able to watch hockey and basketball last night! Between periods I took 2 dogs for a quick walk, without any rain interruptions. It did rain overnight again, ..which we like.. of course..
Cristina was supposed to be busy today helping her mother Ana Julia get a molar extraction so she could get dentures to be able to eat properly. Adiela and her daughter Lina were supposed to bring her here to a dental clinic appointment set up by Cristina.. Then the wheels fell off and, after a lot of shouting and insults, the two are not speaking again... I always find it a lot calmer when that happens.
I went outside with both cameras and missed Tom Thumb because he chose the feeder flower at the rear so no photos were possible. I got a piece of sponge and covered that rear flower and waited... I didn't have to wait long to get some fairly decent close shots with the P1100. My manual focus isn't perfect but at least I know that I am on the right track again.
The other photos of the new rooster and some of the dogs were taken with the D5600.
I was near the end of processing when my new laptop blinked a couple of times, then just QUIT, nada, nothing.... I was panicking,.. hating to maybe having to take it to a local computer nerd. I sent a message to my Edmonton salesman for ideas, then stopped to cogitate the problem more closely. I realized that the blinking warning light was for the power,.. duh,... so I followed the cord to the power pack and found that one connection had come loose a bit. Problem solved, and feeling a little sheepish at not arriving at the solution sooner...
So I finished processing the photos with great relief.
I had been noticing the hair/fur of our largest dog, Rio, .. so named because her previous owner threw her in the river to drown. Little did he know that she absolutely loves the water !!! And little did I realize that the name is truly apt because the pattern on her back looks distinctly like a Rio/River!!!
So, Canada's Juniors won the Bronze medal at their World Championships and the Toronto Raptors are doing well. Curling starts again today, the Oilers play again tonight (still playing badly) and I can hardly wait for the Olympics to begin...
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
