We are going through a rainy spell which is certainly welcomed by me to keep temperatures down, but most locals are not happy. Last night, I tried some raindrop shots with the P1100 but am not getting the reflections I want.
And Cristina is rescuing another small Common Ruddy Ground Dove that can't fly for some reason so it is in a raised cage on our patio, shitting on my nice new roller-cart.... I moved my cart to another location.
Curling is over now until the Olympics and our Einarson lost to Tirinzoni, while the young Scot, Whyte, won the men's side over another Scot, Waddell. For a Sunday, unless you were an NFL fan, the other sports were really boring. I have never been a Trekky, yet last night I watched the end of the first Star Trek movie while flipping channels. I passed on watching the second...
Last evening, caught on camera a block away on the main drag, a car in the wrong lane clobbered a motorbike head-on and the biker was killed, I believe. A person has to have their head on a swivel to drive here, and I am less inclined to do so unless I have car cam to protect me.
Today is a holiday, "fiesta" and yet nothing was happening downtown when I went out with my best girl Turi. The skies were overcast all day but that did not stop me from taking more pictures with the trusty D5600 on the east side of town. I had taken a couple in the backyard before slipping out with Turi.
I saw a few of the birds that used to come in our yard in the past, but since we have drained our lake, the mosquito population has declined markedly, and so have the birds and dragonflies.
The beauty in Colombia knows no bounds. Thank you to Google Lens for the help in naming the new flowers.
