Last night, I flipped to the Oilers vs Penguins game about 5 minutes after the face-off and we were already down 3-0, on 4 shots, in a 37-second span apparently. I watched a bit more and the play was terrible, so I was in bed at 9:30pm, totally bagged from the day's construction anyway. They lost 6-2 I think.
Today, the workmen were here at 8:30am to apply all the finishing touches, especially to the sliding doors, with a fair amount of input from me. The welding continued on the patio while the rust paint was applied on the outside spinach enclosure...
At one point, sparks from the welding actually ignited an open paint can! Luckily, quick closure with the can lid prevented anything further.....
The fellows even repaired our outside back door and re-installed an outside wall hanger in a better location...
I complimented the guys on how nice it was to have 2 professionals to work with, and they returned the compliment that the job was accomplished with 3 professionals, including me!!! That was unexpected, and classy of them I thought!
They were done by noon and we supplied them with a beer and lunch money too. We are thoroughly pleased with the work of these guys and they also have referred a friend to properly finish our 3 concrete ramps. Cristina will also want concrete all along the base of the spinach patch fence I am sure, as well as some along the walls.
Now, we are tired and sore again today, but it is a satisfying hurt... Sofi is coming again today, she is on holidays.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
