I was up late last night starting another Jack Reacher novel and read 300+ pages while The Dirty Dozen and Kelly's Heroes played in the background.... Again, I hit the hay after 2 am and crawled out of bed after noon.
I had two things on my mind that I wanted to sort out and the first was surprisingly easy... I needed to change my organ donor declaration because it would conflict with my end-of-life instructions and not leave any ashes for the family to bury next to Patsy. I found the right place on the internet right away and changed it to transplant organs only... Now I can sleep easier.
The next thing was more complicated and I was on the phone to CIBC Telephone Banking for a very long time, getting passed from one department to another. Because of my scammers, I was forced to change accounts and, along that path, I lost all my data of people I had input for Interac eTransfers and also for Global Money Transfer. I wanted to see if they could transfer the old info to the new account to save me a lot of work and possible errors....
The initial answer was that the Interac info would need to be re-input, which is not difficult, just time-consuming.... But, if I do it only on the as-needs -to basis, it will not be a hardship. I only really need to know the other party's email address.
The good-and-bad news came with the Global Money Transfer which was my real concern, especially for sending money to Cristina. It had always worked well and I feared fouling it up. The good news is that the information is already transferred, The bad news is that I can't access it until my branch deletes some security messages on my new account due to the scammers. I left a message for my rep at my branch, and even sent him an email with the details on my conversation with down east, but he did not call me back as promised in his voicemail. Hopefully tomorrow we will get this sorted out..
Don came down to watch the Oilers win yet another game against the Stars 3-1, and they lead the series 3-1 as well. With any luck, they can wrap this up on Thursday night to prepare to play last year's champs, the Florida Panthers who should have little trouble by-passing the Carolina Hurricanes.
