Last night I got called to play cribbage and we won again in some spirited close games..
Downstairs, there is a "Take it, I don't want it shelf" and there were 2 photo slideshow boxes, one Sylvania and one Memorex. I grabbed both, brought them home, cleaned them up, downloaded a whack of my pictures onto the memory card that was in one of them and neither of them worked... Bummer.... They are both in the garbage now.
Today, Bob rode with me to the Alberta Legislature to listen to the group promoting Alberta Independence at 1pm. There was a protest group of Indigenous women to the left. The main speaker started by stating that she had the right of free speech, we are all on Treaty 6 lands, and we were all ignorant and rude... Great start lady! One man tried to talk to her, his free speech was countered with a call for police to remove him!!! When the main Independence speaker began, he complimented the Indigenous protest in a classy gesture. Through every speaker, the Indigenous nuisances continued to berate everything and everyone, mostly unsuccessfully as people got tired of their belligerence. They certainly knew how to be ignorant and rude......
Surprisingly the crowd was probably less than 1,000 people and I am sure they expected way more....
We listened for just a bit then decided to chance Whyte Avenue like the old days and caught Mandy MacMillan playing on the patio at Blues on Whyte. Good sun, good beer and good music made us hungry.
I took Bob to my my newly found haunt of yesterday, Papa Murphy's Pizza and a pop for $6.99 and Bob could not eat all of his.... so I am stuffed....
Back home, I passed on some sturdy wire to Bob to enable him to hang his largest picture on his wall...
Now, back to watching Avalanche vs Wild hockey...
My buddy Igor is on WhatsApp now and maybe, just maybe, our trip to the canyons in the USA in the fall is back on!! Yippee!!!
