I was up until past 2am to finish my latest Jack Reacher novel so I stayed in bed until noon...
After chores I checked the Edmonton Public Library for the last Jack Reacher novel available and found that I had mistakenly been waiting forever for an eBook which is useless to me, and, surprise, the large paperback was available at my branch... That gave me the initial excuse to enjoy the great spring weather, 30C, warmer than Colombia today, in advance of promised thunderstorms which I would also like to photograph.
I took my time meandering back, going by City Hall and the Avord Arms apartment where I lived in 1970-1971 before I got married.
I went by the Epcor building where they have the huge bronze grizzly bear before circling the Rogers Place building and the ice district where fans watch the Oilers play hockey.
I stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart on a whim and found their age 50+ vitamins on sale!! Bonus!! And I bought a loofa stick to scrub my back where I can't reach anymore, lol....
I am still waiting to hear the decision from the Elks security at Commonwealth Stadium to see if they will allow me to park near the season ticket seat I want to buy...
So it was a gorgeous 30C day today which I enjoyed and, like I have always said, "We are going to pay for the heat", so now thunder is rolling in and the clouds are building for a severe thunderstorm expected... I would like to get some pictures if possible but sight lines are limited where I might find cover....
I hope you enjoy the pictures (Out of order again, Thanks Blogger!).
That was the day’s excitement.
