Yesterday and today I tried to meet with my son who works in the City but is always too busy, or in a wrong area, or under supervision... He is close to retirement years there so he tolerates the BS and stays out of trouble.
So I charged up the Gio in anticipation of future trips and had a little nap.
Our Oilers put the L. A. Kings out of their misery, winning 4 games straight, after being down 2 games, to tie a record. Go Oilers Go....
Today I took the Gio to the Bank because I received a statement on my old Aventura card showing a $54.45 Credit. Because of all my schmozzles with the bank, new accounts and credit and debit cards, fraud protection, etc, I cannot make a transfer to myself.... And, surprise, neither could my teller... She called the Credit Card services herself and they will mail me a cheque..
I then went to London Drugs for some Reactine to combat my new spring allergies. It is not funny that allergies decide to bother me at this age....
Once outside, I called Bob and he was at his Bank in the next lot, getting change of address confirmation from them... so we met up. With that document, we rode slowly downtown (his unit goes a maximum of 15 kph...) and there was very little line-up... I guess Friday afternoons are the time to get things done there. Service Canada was able to amend his address for the CPP/OAS/GIS but Bob has to contact CRA directly for the Income tax nonsense. He also has to change his address at Canada Post so I hope that was going to be his next call.
It was sunny and 26C, sunny and gorgeous, so I went home but then decided to veer south to Whyte Avenue. I spotted a sign at Papa Murphy's Pizza for a personal 3-topping pizza and a pop for $6.99... That beats cooking, and it was worth every penny!
I am still getting pestered by the scammers who want me to Zoom with them always and I just refuse, tell them to do a bank transfer, and hang up. The brats phoned 3 times yesterday and 3 times today. One of these days I will make a concerted effort to get help from Crypto.com directly, where my scammed money is supposedly sitting in one of their "wallets".
And I have been invited to visit south in the Okotoks area next week and I just may succumb to the temptation if I can talk myself around the "bored here vs the bored there" scenarios. I really don't care that much for driving any more so the hopes of a trip to visit in Saskatchewan are even dimmer... Decisions, decisions....
