Yesterday, I made an account on Temu Colombia for Cristina and ordered her 3 animal t-shirts of her choice to show her how to do it.
Then we took Pirata taxis into Tulua and stepped into HomeCenter to see what air-conditioners they had in stock.. I had checked online and there were only about 7 options for portables and we had chosen a reasonably powerful 12,000 BTU one at a reasonable price named Wurden, which turned out to be their housebrand, with free delivery next Thursday... So we made the deal which was about $400 Cdn.
I watched my Calgary Stampeders get humiliated in Hamilton by their former quarterback, Bo Levi Mitchell..... I am so disillusioned by the Stamps that I was pulling for Bo to really rub it in! I was so upset when they got rid of him after so many runs to the Grey Cup and now they are out of the playoffs for the first time in 20 years, and winless away from home (and they stunk at home too!).
Later, when I revisited the HomeCenter website I was shocked that I had failed to see the awful 2.9 star rating and the horrible reviews for this unit we had just purchased.
So, we got up early and returned to HomeCenter and cancelled the Wurden order and chose a Recco model with 4.6 Stars and many good reviews, with delivery posted for next Friday. For $50 more I was determined to buy one that works right. We have one now that is just a glorified fan and has never worked for 6 years and I am tired of fighting the heat. We need a cool place to sleep!
So, we returned home, had lunch, and at about 2pm the doorbell rang and here was the HomeCenter truck wanting to deliver the unit we had just cancelled.... 5 days early! So we explained the situation and they were very nice and took it back. Hopefully the new AC will show up early too.
