Well, I never thought I would enjoy it, but I did! Today we went to Parque Carlos Sarmiento Lora and enjoyed the heat and the water in the swimming pool! No screaming kids and we almost had the pool to ourselves...
I had driven within 2 blocks of this place hundreds of times and had no idea it existed....
"Swimming" is a relative term as Cristina doesn't swim, doesn't like getting her hair wet, yet we had fun. I mostly floated on my back because I could not swim normally, because of my hyperextended left shoulder which hurt like heck when I tried. Even the sidestroke was not joyful. But we got a lot of sun, saw Ibis, kiskadees, buzzards, Shetland ponies, and baby goats, .. and had an ice cream before leaving.
The evening sun on the vegetation was captivating as we awaited our Pirata Taxi home, this time by Lorena's ex-husband and father of our "adopted niece", Sofi.
