I attempted to find the link betweek ourslves and Hillary Clinton to former Prime Minister Jean Chretien without success.  The info from Hillary's site has a gap that I have not penetrated yet.  I will have to try other sources I guess.

So, it was only 3C but Bob and I headed to the Commercial Hotel to listen to Leo Martinez play, and hopefully catch his expected guest, the lovely Darla Daniels and her fiddle.  But Leo started 1/2 hour late, and Darla hadn't shown up by 4:30pm, so we reluctantly left.

The reason for our early exit was to watch the Heritage Classic hockey game being played in our Commonwealth Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 55,411 fans from both teams.  The rock group Nickleback performed during the 2nd intermission and Edmonton skated away with a 5-2 victory. 

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

 It has been a long time between Blogs, sorry...

Monday, I again had problems printing with the colour Canon Printer so I tackled that Tuesday morning.  Finally, I basically withdrew everything that I had from before and re-started a re-install from scratch.  After 50 minutes I had it working again..  Hallelujah!

When I opened my emails and Facebook Tuesday morning I had no emails or Facebook posts or messages of any kind.  That was a first!

Then I was so embarrassed with spots on my floor so I forced myself to sweep and mop the whole place.  It really does not take long, but I needed to push myself to get it done.  The dusting is still waiting... lol.

Since Wednesday I have been on Ancestry.ca, courtesy of a good Sister-in-law, and began the long research needed to connect people to our tree.  We had long ago discovered that we were connected to Hillary Clinton, and via her tree, our connections to many famous people.

This takes research, checking other family tree information to confirm the people, spouses, children, and dates of birth, marriage and death, and interesting tidbits along the way.

To add each famous person takes me about 2.5 hours, but it is satisfying once the connection is made.  So far, I have 3,006 people on my tree!

Connections are so far complete to Hillary Clinton, Pierre Trudeau and Justin, Allan Napier MacNabb (Baronet of Upper Canada), Queen Camilla, Jim Carrey, Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Celine Dion.

Outside it is cool with mild snow accumulation so I am mostly indoors, although I did meet a friend for Wednesday Wings at Leopold's Tavern.  WBob, Don and I watch all the Baseball games and the odd football, basketball, tennis, and hockey.  Curling will be back soon too.

Today, I ordered small licence plates for my Gio and for Bob's.  Amazon goaded me into restarting Amazon Prime to save on the shipping, only to find that they did not save me the shipping from this outside source using their site!  I was angry.  It took them 60 seconds to take the money from my account but want 3-5 business days to return it....  That is one way that the rich get richer....  Grrr
