It seems to be working again! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Wednesday May 24, 2017
We gave up on the idea of going to Gualaceo and Chordeleg because of the mudslide detours and instead started off by showing Dawn the Feria Libre/El Arenal huge mercado. Since this is a Wednesday, it is the busiest day other than Saturday and there was not an empty stall today, all the vendors were hard at work. We finally found some red bananas which are so very sweet.
Then we rode over to check out Mall De Rio and had lunch. That mall seems to get smaller every time I go and everything seems so very expensive there, except for the one costume jewelry shop that Cristina frequents.
Then we started the long bus ride home but decided to stop off on Calle Larga and check out the Panama Hat Museum. They actually make and form the hats there and my recollection, which proved to be faulty, was that you could buy a simple hat for $20... Not any more...
Because we were so close as well, we took Dawn to show her La Condamine with the greased pole statue.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day’s excitement.
Cheers, Al
