We had a very busy morning,.... jumped on Buzzer with Dawn, hit the bank, went to buy Dawn's bus ticket at the bus terminal, checked out the beauty of the cemetery, bought gas, got vegetables at the mercado, came home, caught the bus to San Francisco square, bought jeans and a jacket, bought empanadas, came home and made a huge salad for lunch.... Whew!
We also made arrangements for Gustavo to join us again for another little jaunt to San Joaquin and on to the Sustag area in the Cajas. My friend Dot had just gone out to the Hacienda Los Cedros for a week of relaxation and we made arrangements to stop in. We brought a few goodies and had just a delightful afternoon in the country. We walked along the river and collected some eucalyptus leaves to ward off insects inside Dot's house (it works in our home for sure).
Dawn had control of my camera for much of the time and did quite a good job with it.
We rode back into town and had supper at Fabiano's. My Meat Lover's pizza was delicious and Dawn and Gustavo enjoyed huge calzones and raved about those as well. Cristina had snacked all afternoon so she wasn't hungry.
Tonight we lose our awesome houseguest Dawn as she leaves on a very late bus to Guayaquil to catch a jet in the morning. We are certainly going to miss the help with the dogs and the dishes and her vivacious attitude. We certainly hope she gets her wish to see the Panama Canal tomorrow, if only from the air.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day’s excitement.
Cheers, Al
