OMG, it is already August 19th,.. that means a person has to start to get ready for fall and then winter weather! Oh wait..... We are in Ecuador... It only gets nicer at this time of year... Hooray!!!
Some awesome Olympic upsets today had me smiling.
Our friend Peter's birthday was on Thursday but he threw himself a dance party at his lovely home tonight. His townhouse is surprisingly huge and a great place for such small gatherings.
It was a potluck and he supplied mild, medium and hot curried chicken. I was brave and tried the hot stuff,.. twice..., and suffered no ill effects. It was really a great meal combined with the offerings from everyone, topped by delicious brownies and 2 birthday cakes.
From the Evite list I was afraid that there would be (exaggerating..) 20 women and 3 men so I was very surprised to see quite a number of men come in the door. While the ratio wasn't exactly 1:1, it was close. Not many of the men danced very regularly, as usual, but it was still great fun.
Some would-be models kept asking me to take more and more photos, so I hope they are happy with the results.
