I guess that I got so caught up with problems posting a few photos to FaceBook that I forgot to do this Blog....
At the last minute we were advised that Johanna (from Hearts Of Gold) and her sweetheart Alvaro had to do a civil marriage ceremony as well as the church wedding. Apparently they take the separation of state and religion very seriously here.
The ceremony was held in a small room on the second floor in the Registro Civil, where I had picked up my new Cedula just a few days ago.
Typically, the bride was late... The ceremony was quick as they have several to do every day.
Right after the ceremony Johanna and Alvaro slipped downstairs and immediately got their new Cedulas showing them as married. The crowd downstairs was very small so they were processed very quickly.
Afterwards we went to a restaurant (Mayu?) and had cake and a quick meal.
The church ceremony is Saturday.
