Boy! Did I ever need some good sleep in my own comfy bed after two weeks in hot Colombia.... I got up in time to go grocery shopping, organized a few things, had lunch and went back to bed.

Then I got ready for my usual Saturday gig at Joe's Secret Garden. I rode the scooter over there even though it was pretty cool. There was some blue sky and hints of sunshine but the temperature never did rise to a comfortable level. The leather jacket did its job.

I tried to stop at a bike shop on Remigio Crespo to check out some bike accessories but they were closed already.

Joe's was trying a new meal, smoked pork chops, with Civil War macaroni & cheese, cornbread dressing, warm vegetable salad, and a chocolate pie. I don't usually comment on the food because it is normally top-notch, but this offering won't make my list of favourites any day soon. The exception was the onion rings which are always a hit.... 'Nuff said.

Riding back home was an experience because I had never ridden the bike in the dark before. I quickly noticed that the lights are set very low, even on high beam, so I stayed on a safer street route home. I wasn't about to push my luck on Las Americas with iffy vision. I will have to try to raise those headlights soon so I will feel more comfortable riding in the dark.
