Blaring music from my street had me awake at 4:30am. I guess it is another tradition here to do early morning serenades for Mother's Day too..... Loud music with singing that was later reduced to only the annoying bass thump that was audible through the pillow. Thank God it only lasted about an hour.
Oh yeah, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, including my Mom who will be 99 on May 29.
It was also odd to see that they have brought back the paving equipment at the end my street. Hopefully it is only for some leveling purposes and they won't do anything else really bizarre. However the only guy in evidence was the snoozing security guard.
We took a little walk to locate the place where I will start Spanish lessons through Hearts Of Gold and the City of Cuenca. The location is right near our former Coopera outlet.
We continued to walk towards Parque Paraiso, past several flower and gift booths and were disappointed that there was so little happening at the park. We didn't stay very long and caught the #16 home. That was another surprise, that this bus line was running every 10 minutes, on a Sunday...
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
