Yesterday was not a bad day and I started out on the Gio to meet Bob at On The Rocks for Wednesday Wings when it began to sprinkle. My Gio has a roof, but Bob's Daymak does not, so I made a U-Turn and went upstairs again for my car keys. I picked up Bob and we enjoyed our wings while watching our Blue Jays beat the Yankees in yet another series to remain on top of the American League standings.
Then I read, and finished, my latest Joseph Kanon book until 3am....
So, today, I grabbed 3 of the latest batch of Joseph Kanon books I have read and returned them to the Library, and picked up the final novel in the Jack Reacher series, In Too Deep... I wasn't sure if my request to the Library for that book was going to work, but at least 24 others are waiting for different versions, like eBook style, so I obviously was not alone....
I had brought the D5600 on this little jaunt downtown as well because it was 27C and gorgeous (with risks of later thunderstorms). The Taste Of Edmonton was still happening and I expected to see Tracey on her new Gio, but I didn't... Also, the lady selling the Bar U Ranch photo no longer had her booth so I was disappointed...
But the kids and adults were enjoying the fountains both at Silly Hall and the Legislature on this gorgeous day.
I passed along word with the Obituary for Uncle Maynard that his Celebration Of Life will happen September 13th... I hope that does not conflict with my planned trip South....
Now, it is a salad day while I wait for my Stamps to take on the mighty Alouettes tonight.. Go Stamps Go... Before that, I should be able to take in the Blue Jays vs Tigers...
I am a happy camper that a small revision in my eating habits has me again dropping pounds. I still have my initial goal within reach...
