Friday, I got my LeFant Roomba going and that prompted me to do a little housecleaning.... One of these days I will get around to the dusting....
Saturday, I ate unusually early and Bob shows up with frozen chicken breasts and other microwave meals to give me. Jeepers, I have loads of food in my place to eat....
Then Don shows up with a cartful of food, drops off potato salad, plus Romaine lettuce and tomatoes for me to make Caesar salad while he goes home to heat up spicy chicken nuggets, and then returns to bring the supper here (he has no room for a kitchen table at his place), ....so we eat more and watch the Blue Jays.
Today, we had an early afternoon rain and I got stir crazy cleaning my windows. So I called Bob, picked him up in the Regal to go to the big Flea Market to poke around a little. I had hoped to discuss with my IPTV people about buying a set to take to Colombia, but that can wait until I know the timing.
I bought myself a really nice Chicago Black Hawks ball cap for $10.
Bob's son Connor was in from BC yesterday and had mentioned to Bob that he was hoping to arrange a family reunion today, possibly at his brother Dylan's nearby restaurant. But Connor is unreliable and nothing came of it.
As we were leaving the Flea Market, Bob mentioned going to see the new Italian restaurant named Nero nearby where his son Dylan is Manager, so we went. They were close to opening time, so Dylan invited us in for a meal, his treat, and Bob's buttons were bursting with pride.
The food was great, considering I usually am disappointed with Italian food, and we tried an Italian beer as well. Our waitress, Raquel's mother was from Bogota and her father was Lebanese.
The restaurant was very opulent, with Dylan having control over 30 staff, and expecting over 300 patrons for an evening. We were very impressed, and thankful to Dylan for a wonderful afternoon for his father.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
