I did not have much going on yesterday so I figured I had better be true to my word and visit my friend Eleanore at the U of A Hospital.

But she wasn't in the room in ICU any longer and the nurses said they had no way to tell me where she was, I had to go down to reception, a long walk...   So, I called Eleanore's phone and she answered on the second ring.  She was now in a different corner up on the 5th floor and I found her easily.

Eleanore looks much better than a few days ago and they may be moving her back to Westlock Hospital soon, much closer to her home, and also where her wheelchair has been kept for her.

We had a nice visit.  I brought her another book and we chatted until her supper arrived then I made a graceful exit...  Nobody had bothered my Gio near the West entrance (I have no idea why they call it the North entrance).

I then begged off playing cribbage so I could watch my Blue Jays win, and my Stampeders stomp on the Bombers.  A good night for my teams....

Today, I got early sad news that Uncle Maynard Livingston had passed away around 6pm last night so I had to pass along the word for the family.  Maynard was the fun second husband of Auntie Rosebud, after Uncle Johnny died in 1967.   Maynard has been living with stepson Allen after many years of working together.  Allen says that there is now a big empty hole in the living room....  Allen's wife, Martha, is also a Colombiana, so we have many ties with these cousins.

The celebration of Life will be scheduled sometime in the future.  I certainly hope I will be around to attend.

After I coped with that, and my chores, I went back to bed until 2pm because it is raining outside steadily (Thank the Lord for that) and motion seemed superfluous..

I took a few pics with the P1100 at almost full 3000mm zoom through my streaky windows of the drops and bubbles in a large puddle.  I really needed Topaz AI to rescue these, then of course PhotoShop...  It takes a lot of patience...

I was asked to play cribbage this afternoon but begged off because I was in bed and needed to cook a large macaroni meal later, good for 3 days at least.  Drat!  I forgot to add the bay leaves again, the secret ingredient of my Auntie Blanche's fabulous spaghetti...

Now it is time to go read and watch sports...

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
