Monday, I got a notice that the WestJet portal had been hacked. Apparently credit card payment info was not affected, but I would be safe for that anyway because I have changed all my banking this year.
I saw a couple of ads on FaceBook for home, and also car, air-conditioners so I took a gamble and ordered them. I hope they work, because I plan on selling one of them...
I spent all day working on Cuenca Kids photos again.
The sick cat died on Cristina so she is very sad. Rescuing animals and birds is her life's calling, and thankfully she is more successful than not.
In the evening, I helped another resident here, Cheryl, to take a very small picture of her deceased sister Doreen and enlarge it sharply for printing at Staples. She was pleased with the result.
Tuesday, I spent a good amount of time getting both my printers configured and working properly with the new computer. Knock on wood (on my head, lol), I seem to have most things in order and working fine now,
I decided to get out again and rode the Gio to No Frills on the southside to mainly grab some milk, snacks and crackers. The trip is a good getaway.
In the evening we had thunderstorms, and despite my efforts with 140 shots of 4 seconds each, there were no lightning bolts in my direction,.. so the photos below are fakes to make me feel better, lol. And the Perseid Meteor Showers occurred overnight but the cloud cover sure squashed that idea. The last time I tried focusing on Perseid was around 2012 when I led a photography tour in the Andes Mountains on a moonless night west of Cuenca...
Today ,it has rained all day, so I spent it working on photos again, moving up to my images from October 2024...
I also re-organized my three external hard drives to eliminate a lot of duplications.
Now, ...to relax and watch sports as I read a Tom Clancy novel..
