Saturday, after a 12 hour sleep, I took the LRT to the Library to get another Mark Greaney book. I do love the simplicity and the veracity of his writing,.... and the Gray Man series is a winner! Then I read 270 pages until 2am..........
Sunday morning, I was pleased to see that my main man, Marc Marquez is back in racing form after an arm injury and surgeries broke his string of 7 World Championships in MotoGP. With Marc back on his fearless quest, he should be a shoo-in to win again this year.
With my Gio in drydock, I was happy to be called to play cribbage to while away the afternoon... Then I read almost the rest of that book until 1am..
But today, I spoke to my friend Bob and decided to test how hard it would be to extricate the Gio from the common room, needing to open 3 double doors and scoot through each on time with only inches to spare... I made it out with a little help, and made it back in safely on my own. Now I feel freedom again.
I met Bob at his place and we sat on the corner for a while. Then Bob went up and came back on his Daymark and we went for a ride to the nearby shopping centers as I looked for something to hold my CD's in the car... I ended up getting a pencil case at Dollarama. It will do the job well enough.
And we cruised casually further North and had an early supper at Tim Horton's. We actually ran into our friend Bernie on the way on his 3-wheel Gio.. Later I showed Bernie where to park his Gio safely in the common room. His machine is narrower and he claims that he does not need to use the double doors...
So, the Great Escape was a success, and we look forward to again being able to use our Gio at leisure... What a relief! The biggest thing is getting something to hold the second door open on the entrance doorways.
It was extremely refreshing to see the bees at work everywhere today.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
