Monday August , 2025

I was up early again because Bob's neighbour was coming with her brother to pick up the desk that I had salvaged for her from next door.  We used my dolly to get it downstairs and loaded it easily into his SUV.

I spoke to the workers resurfacing the garage.  They completed patching the bad areas and we assume they will commence tomorrow with a cement layer of about 2".... and they expect to be done by Friday!  I sure hope so, so I can move the Gio back to his regular spot.

Window washers (apparently only 1 guy today) started finally washing windows on the other building and may be om site until Thursday.  I can't wait to get clean windows again...

Bob called that he had been to his doctor and has a new regimen of pills and tests for his newest problems.  He was also excited that another neighbour lady is definitely purchasing his Daymak scooter, maybe Wednesday.  He also spoke to his bank to pay off his existing loan and get a new loan for his new Gio.  Things are falling into place well for him.

I had a 3-hour nap then grabbed the Nikon and took a short walk with plans to do a lot more walking.  Close by is a Heritage Home that has a very nice front garden so I took a lot of shots.

When I got back, I found that I could update my Topaz AI program and that made it MUCH faster, so I went to work, using the RAW-NEF files into Topaz AI to convert them to DNG files, which I then processed in Smart Photo Editor to huge PNG files, which I finished off in PhotoShop, and converted those for the Blog to smaller JPG files for you.

The 23 pics I saved took 3 hours overall but the results are worth it.  I hope you will agree.   I am getting the hang of a system that works now.

I think now I will go out for another walk.  It is cooling down slowly from today's high of 30C (which is a lot warmer than North Carolina at the moment).

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
