Last evening, while reading, I saw a storm brewing and some rain, but actual lightning between buildings low to the north drew my eyes... So I shut the lights and TV and set up the P1100 on Fireworks mode and took 170 4-second shots. As I downloaded those, I saw that the lightning might be strengthening, so I took another 30 4-second shots. Out of the 200 shots I kept the 6 poor specimens below, and don't ask me what happened on the one with all the relections... Very strange indeed... Some day I will get a proper storm to photograph.
Today, I was awakened by the scraping 2 floors below in the garage where they are resurfacing the floor. They are supposed to be done in 2 weeks and then I can re-park the Gio properly. But by the look, and young age, of the workers, I am not hopeful, as the work is done by the low-bidders...
I called Bob and picked him up in the Regal and we first went to Freshco where Don had been buying these big bags of Spitz for supposedly good prices. True, the store had more varieties of Spitz in different locations than any other store, but none of the variety he had shown me. I bought another variety, oddly named Olay, for a decent price.
Then Bob and I leisurely drove to the west end, then north, then back east, just for the thrill of being out in the returning sunshine.
So, I am back to reading while watching sports and old movies for the evenings.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
