This morning, I was preoccupied about having to move my Gio out of the garage and into the common room.. I went down with my tape measure to see that I was 36" mirror-to-mirror. They I measured the single automatic doors which were 32-33" only... Drat! This meant that I would have to open 3 sets of double doors to enter or exit.
So, I waited until the lunch rush was over and the Manager helped me with the doors. I could park it more easily at Bob's apartment downstairs but then it is really unavailable and I can't keep an eye on it.
Then Bob called me that he had a doctor's appointment at 1:30pm, it was going to rain, and he was losing his balance. The minute I stepped outside, the rain started. So I picked him up and took him to the appointment and closed my eyes for an hour while the doctor checked him out good and cleaned his ears. He feels better now.
While driving Bob, I noticed that the same right-front signal light on the Regal was malfunctioning again, so I drove to the mechanic. Since they had just replaced it 2-3 weeks ago, they had a closer look and determined that the socket itself was shorting out. So, $116 later, discounted for the price of the part only, it is hoped we have solved the problem and do not have to replace all the wiring as well. They are trustworthy mechanics who are getting to know my Regal.
I checked the mail and received the letter below from the Edmonton Elks along with a rubber bracelet. I am conflicted over the effort and cost of this "honour", especially since there is a game here against the Toronto Argonauts in an hour which I cannot attend because both my vehicles are tied up, and it is darn cold, only 10C, and raining....
I read 190 pages of Mark Greaney's first "Gray Man" book series and it is another that I do not want to put down... I have the next 3 on hold at the Library. I have already read the fifth one, and the series is sitting at 14 books...
I also got a query from an old friend from Cuenca about recommendations for a place to spend a wedding anniversary. I did a little research and gave him a few options that I have tried, plus a few more thoughts.
