OMG, 2+ days without Internet or access to my phone was very hard on this bored old guy....  Thank God there were no emergencies in that time anywhere.....

So, I slept badly Sunday morning, mulling over all the pros and cons of buying that big house.  In the end, it was not a tough decision for me,.... It is not the right house...  and being "house poor" was not going to work.

The pros were that the house was newer, in a decent location, had great views, and had green space for the dogs.  Cristina wanted to put the cats in one bedroom and the birds on the third floor.....

The cons were that it was too much house for only 1-2 people...  I hated the tiny kitchen.  There was a ton of finishing to do on the house, particularly on the 3rd floor...  The space for the dogs was less than 1/3 of what they have now and that concerned me a lot.  It also is in the same hot location, although it would get better breezes.

Then, financially, I would be essentially broke and not able to do much, i.e. travel, fix up either house, help out, etc, etc, etc,.....  Sometimes the best decisions are those you don't make.

I also still dread having to deal long-distance with Immigration again, despite reassurances.  I really don't need that stress at my age.

I am looking forward to seeing old friends in Ecuador soon and photographing at the Pase del Nino parade again.  I am having my niece mule me 2 new batteries for my Nikon because the 2 I ordered previously are absolute crap!

Sunday, I made firewood rack in the yard next to the firepit area and got busy with my trusty jigsaw...  Now we have kindling and small wood to start nice fires properly.  Hopefully tomorrow I get help to work on the big pieces of wood to cut them to size to fit as well.

I am happy that I am maintaining my weight now below 200 lbs and hoping for lower.....

Monday turned out to be another blasted holiday and the Internet company was not even accepting messages......Grrrrrrrrr   I tried everything under the sun to get it working, with zero success.

My friend Roger Gagnon sent me a list of his family to try to find a connection between us but I need a lot more info.

Today we could not reach the Internet provider still, so Cristina went right to their office to enter the complaint.  They said a techie would be over later and he came within 1/2 hour and 15 minutes later we were breathing a sigh of relief, being able to contact our friends and family again.

Cristina went for her accupuncture which seems to be working with the cannabis oil to keep her migraines at bay.  I had so much to catch up on with my photo sites, etc and a pack of emails.

Our first Temu Colombia order of 3 t-shirts for Cristina were delivered today, so it is a relief to know that works OK.

I did some more hunting for Roger's family tree but need a lot more info to go further.  There are thousands of Gagnons with his father's name, and even with his dates of birth and death, all I could come up with is a picture of the gravestone so far.  His niece is supposed to have some more info that may fit the puzzle.

I also cancelled the free Amazon Prime (in Canada) again.  I don't need it for a couple of months.

So, my time has been spent mostly in the backyard as will be evidenced by the photos below....

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
