We were up early again as Carlos2 came to work but only for the morning.  Then it was the Cristina show!  This gal works so hard, and is not afraid to get her hands dirty!!  She was placing cement with her bare hands and shoveling gravel into the yard, and would accept no help.  She had her own plan and would not be dissuaded so I just stood back and marveled...  When she got into cleaning mode, I thought of my Mom....

I sat in the middle of the yard for quite a while, but the birds abandoned me.  Flies and wasps were around, but not really bothersome.  There were several black wasps and a very occasional yellow-jacket that I could not capture with the Nikon.

We have a growing avocado tree and were dismayed to find what I assume are leaf-eating bugs beginning to infest it on the trunk.  Cristina made a bug spray and I got rid of quite a few before the sprayer quit operating.

So today was all action and tomorrow is a day of rest...  And Monday is a holiday here, so no workers will come.  I sure hope that we are done with the cement and gravel by Tuesday evening.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  The first one is a composite that I tried using a background remover I found on the internet.  It is the best I ever used but you only get a small result unless you pay money.., of course... That was the day’s excitement.
