Well, we still haven't seen Carlos return to finish the bedroom door...
And we went out with the Chappy and the Pixel again try to visit Cristina's cousin Omaira and husband Jorge in Campo Alegre. We were almost there, only to be stopped at a barrier and the nice girl informed us that the road ahead was indeed closed. She said there was a roundabout detour but the road was full of big rocks and really rough, so we definitely were not going to gamble our small tires on that... You would think that the cousin would know of the closure, and let us know not to bother coming..... That is the third time we have tried to visit them unsuccessfully, and my last.....
It started to sprinkle on our return trip but I had told Cristina that I wanted to visit Christian's grave and the rain was forgiving enough to allow us the time there.
On the way back Cristina stopped again to visit her ex-mother-in-law Gilma but I continued home because I did not like the sky and I had nothing further to say there. I told Cristina that if Gilma would pay for the car rental, I would take her to visit her family about 2.5 hours away as she had mentioned before.
It is now raining strongly as I predicted it would, and I am thankful for a good soaking for the backyard. Cristina had really hacked down a lot of the bougainvillea at the back today so the rain is very welcome.
I am getting to watch Curling on a site called HomeTeam Curling, so I am happy.
I hope you enjoy the pictures (Backwards again). That was the day’s excitement.
