Wow! I didn't realize the last Blog was last Tuesday!
Wednesday I went with Don in his van to Costco because he suggested it, and I had a card.... I picked up necessities like honey and mustard and walnuts.... Then we went by Walmart to pick up my new Honeywell turbo fan which works pretty darn efficiently so far. It has good ratings. It was pretty cool out so I did not go for Wednesday Wing Night.
Thursday morning I wrote a poison-pen complaint to Save-On about my Tuesday shopping experience. Hopefully the squeaky wheel will get some grease.
Bob made a great beef stew and invited Don and myself for lunch. Later, I watched hockey and parts of good movies while finishing my last Conn Iggulden book, Empire.
Friday, I went and bought a bunch of stuff at Dollarama as I browsed carefully through the store, mainly a new baking pan for myself. Don brought me a new book that he had enjoyed, Every Second by Rick Mofina. He was right, it was good!
I finished that book as well on Saturday as I returned the Conn Iggulden book to the library and stopped by Save-On for a couple of items, like toilet paper on special.
I have been trying to skip lunch to get my weight down and had an enormous craving for the meat-lovers-plus pizza from Grandma Pizza that I could not shake. Bob joined me for a slice or two. Now I have just one slice for lunch for the next few days.
Today, Bob and I noted that the river was covered in ice floes that were stationary, not moving at all, and the edges of the river were icing up.. We went to Blues On Whyte to see Leo and Braden perform but did not stay for the trio that was to follow. We had seen them before and weren't overly impressed with their playlist.
As I sat down with my salad tonight, I saw the white stuff floating around outside and quickly took a video to send to Cristina who has never seen snow, but really wants to touch it... The snow will probably be gone on Tuesday when we have warmer temperatures returning.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
