Yesterday would have been Mom's 101st Birthday.  We miss you and our many weekends playing Tile Rummy.  RIP.

Today was the usual TENS machine physio with heat, followed by many exercises.   I keep hoping that one day the offending nerve will be unblocked and I will be back to normal and can regain my strength and agility.  I keep thinking that maybe traction would be the next logical step for me... something has got to  loosen up that nerve.
Then I ran off on Buzzer to pick up my jacket and sunglasses from Dot, which I had forgotten at the country Hacienda Los Cedros on Saturday.  We met at the Esquina Des Artes then I was off again...
I met Rick Jackson, who had bought Toxic from me, and I led him for a little ride toward Sustag and then part of the way to Sayausi.  We will be sure to include him in future rides so he can get accustomed to handling Toxic (which now has no decals).
Ken at Joes' Secret Garden could not locate the photos we had taken in March and he needed them for more Government permits.  It seems that every Government department has their hand out for money from little businesses like Joes' and that is so frustrating.  That is also the reason I have not started any kind of business here because I can't stand the ridiculous bureaucracy.   Anyway, I was able to stop in and locate the file on his computer where we had placed the files and all is well with the universe once more.
I caught a few skyline pics along  Las Americas with the dramatic skies, threatening rain, but never really happening.  We actually haven't had rain for a couple of days now and the rivers are low again.
I came home, walked the dogs again, then pretty much insisted that we clip Jack's hair because Cristina has put me off several times.  The poor guy is dragging around all this wool which is just a sponge when the outside grass is wet.  Since the city hasn't cut anything here in over a month, our area is living up to its name of Forest Of Monay (Bosque de Monay).  And poor Jack is just so low to the ground that he is just a wet sponge that needs to be dried off somehow when we get home from a walk.   So we managed to give Jack the initial cut, ....with a second finishing touch and a bath to come tomorrow.  He looks like a new pup with much more mobility and he is a happy camper.  It is surprising how much he looks like a brother to Princesa...  He is going to be such a handsome boy when we are finished!
Jack (formerly called Sparky because we had a tag in that name) is still up for adoption if anyone needs a first or second dog.  He is such a loveable character that we hope we can find him a good home.
I hope you enjoy the photos. All were taken with the new Lumix.  That was the day’s excitement.
Cheers, Al

Sunday May 28, 2017
Well, our niece Dawn boarded the bus to Guayaquil at 1am and has since made stops in Panama City and Toronto.  She is now winging her way to her new home in Edmonton.  She has been keeping us updated via FaceBook of her progress and she says she saw a lot of ships, but no word if she actually saw the Panama Canal as she had hoped.
Today we had a rare Sunday edition of Joes' Secret Garden to celebrate the US Memorial Day ( or a belated Canadian Victoria Day).  The weather smartened up over the afternoon so it was just perfect when we had the BBQ buffet outside.  I mentioned to Ken and KP that it might be worth considering changing the Saturday night offering to Sunday afternoons on a trial basis... after all, there would be almost no competition on Sundays...
A really nice and appreciative crowd again as Ken and KP provided a huge meal.  I honestly had a real tough time finishing my first, and only plate... however I did manage to eat 2 desserts...
I took a lot of photos today so it has taken me a long time to process this load.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day’s excitement.
Cheers, Al
