I slept in enough to get chores done quickly to watch Canada vs Scotland in curling at 11am where Homan won easily 8-2.
I had 2 deliveries of necessities and I am thrilled with these articles from Temu online. See the photos below... The joke rabbit for the front door was under $3. The bookstand will make my reading so much easier on the hands and arms. And the motion-detecting under-counter lamp will be so very handy in the kitchen.
And, I finally got delivery of a waterproof bed cover as a precaution.
Then, at 4pm it was back to watching curling with Don as Canada took on the surprising Korean team who was the last team to beat them. It was a tight tie game right to the 10th end and Korea made good use of the hammer to win 6-5 in a symbolic, but meaningless, game as Canada had already locked up top spot and all the associated privileges. We can certainly see this as a possible preview of the gold medal match on Sunday...
If it wasn't for the curling and hockey to watch, it sure would make for long days, but thankfully I have found a new favourite author, Nelson DeMille, and I have just begun the second book I have of his.
