I guess we were casamenteros this evening, that is matchmakers in Spanish. Two lovely Ecuadorian ladies asked us to arrange to meet eligible gringo men. Even though we sent invitations to several males and females to join us, the almost total lack of any response was really disappointing. It is really hard not to comment on the lack of class and respect for others in today's world. Is it really so hard to RSVP to an invitation??

What we did get was one lovely gentleman to join the group, and then another that we invited from the crowd for introductions. The good news is that our friendly gentleman was grinning from ear to ear all evening and our whole group of friends at our table had a great time. So, mission accomplished, we hope.

The Southern Fried Chicken meal always has such a big crowd at Joes' that they extend it to Sunday as well now, but I can only handle such a meal once a week. Well done again Joe and Joseph. We were also treated to one of the nicest sunsets I have ever seen in Cuenca.
